The research activity of Rosario Rizzuto is currently supported by grants from the European Research Council (ERC Ideas Advanced grant), the National Institute of Health, The Italian Association for Cancer Research (AIRC), Telethon- Italy, the Italian Education and Health Ministries and the Cariparo and Cariplo bank foundations.
Research keywords: cell signalling, mitochondria, apoptosis/autophagy, neurodegeneration, organelle dynamics

Rosario Rizzuto routinely acts as reviewer for international scientific journals (Nature, Science, J. Cell Biol., EMBO J., J. Biol. Chem., Trends Cell Biol., etc.) and granting agencies (Wellcome Trust, BBSRC, AIRC, etc.). Dr. Rizzuto gave >200 lectures at national and international meetings (including 15 plenary lectures) and seminars in Universities and Research Institutes.
