Guided tours to Palazzo Bo

From Monday to Saturday, the guided tour of Palazzo Bo includes the anatomical theatre, the Galileo Galilei’s Aula Magna, the Sala dei Quaranta (The “Hall of the Forty”) and the Aula di Medicina (where lectures on medicine were originally given). 

The maximum number for groups is 40 people. Tour guides speak Italian and a foreign language, depending on the nationalities of the tourists in the group.

Tours last 45 minutes and take place on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons, and on Tuesday and Saturday mornings.

Bookings, exclusively for the 10.30 and 16.30 (15.30 if in Winter) tours, are meant only for groups of at least 10 and up to 40 people.

Prices:
Single adults: € 7.00
Groups of 10-40 adults: € 4.00
Students under 26: € 2.00

Free of charge for: those accompanying groups (2 per class for school children; 1 for other groups); children under 6; students and employees of the University of Padova; guests of conferences organised by the University of Padova.

Ticket sale: 15 minutes before beginning of tours, at the ticket office in Cortile Nuovo of Palazzo Bo (outside the café).

The airport nearest to Padova is the Marco Polo International Airport (about 30 Km). Connections are provided by a bus service (Busitalia), running every half an hour to the Padova train Station, which is close to the city centre. From there you can reach Palazzo Bo on foot in aboout 15 minutes. There is a also a tram service - Sir 1 line - running every 10 minutes from the station to the vicinity of Palazzo Bo (Ponti romani tram stop).

Palazzo Bo lies in a limited traffic area (ZTL) where cars are not allowed without a special permission. The nearest parking lots can be found in Prato della Valle area (15 minutes, on foot).
