University professors on strike: few inconveniences for Unipd students

A University professor strike could lead to some issues during the currently summer-exam-session. The professors, asking for closing dispute over the wage increase, could take the decision not to cover up to the first scheduled examination date. Daniela Mapelli, University of Padova Teaching Vice-rector says: “Some inconvenience may occur, but there won’t be any loss for the students”.

  • The strike concerns only the first examination date from the 1st of June to the 31st of July.
  • The professors will guarantee at least one examination date. In case there is no other available  date, the professors will guarantee a second date within 14 days.
  • The professors on strike will guarantee a special examination “ad hoc” for graduating students, Erasmus students, pregnant students and students suffering of documented health problems. This examination date will take place within 7 days from the strike’s event.
