Tuition fees

Payment of tuition fees gives access to all services provided by the University of Padova.

First cycle, second cycle, single cycle degrees

Standard amounts (WITHOUT scholarships, waivers etc.)

The total maximum amount to be paid depends on your degree course. Information on 2018/19 fees will be available in 2018 (amounts will largely stay the same as for A.Y. 2017/18).

For academic year 2017/18:

The above amounts can be significantly waived (minimum fee: 561,00 euro/A.Y.) based on your “Equivalent Economic Status Index – ISEE”. For further information on how to obtain your ISEE and other income-based reductions, see the fee prospectus below and the page Key Documents.

The University of Padova additionally supports your studies through other types of fee waivers and scholarships.

  How and when to pay

Academic year 2017/18

The payment is made in three instalments: the FIRST is the same for all (euro 561,00), while the SECOND and the THIRD are calculated according to your income, merit and individual situation.

The FIRST instalment must be paid:

  • when enrolling, for new students of first and single cycle degree courses
  • 18 July 2017 - 31 October 2017 for new students of second cycle degree courses
  • 18 July 2017-30 September 2017 for students from the second year onwards

NB: You must pay the first instalment of your fees in order to confirm your enrolment for the academic year. If the University of Padova does not receive your tuition fee on time, you will not be enrolled and you will not have access to Unipd webmail, Moodle or any other university service.

The SECOND instalment must be paid by 15 February 2018.

The THIRD instalment must be paid by 15 May 2018.

You can pay your tuition fees as follows:

  • In person, through the pre-printed payment form (called MAV) that you can download from Uniweb (“Diritto allo studio - Certificazioni di disabilità/dislessia, Corsi estivi – Tasse”). You have to verify the successful registration of your payment on Uniweb (“Tasse”) after a few days.
  • Bank transfer (only if you are abroad): in order to receive the necessary bank information (IBAN etc.) you must send an email to service.studenti@unipd.it (Servizio Diritto allo Studio e Tutorato). In this case, the payment is not acquired directly by the system, but it has to be registered by the office in charge (see contacts below). This is done after you show or send by fax/email the receipt issued by the bank which includes the CRO (i.e. the transaction code) number.
  • Credit card payment through the PagoPA function available on Uniweb (section “tasse” “pagare online”).

Scholarships, fee waivers and other funding opportunities

In addition to income and merit-based reductions, you may benefit from other funding opportunities, including scholarships and waivers.

For detailed information, please check Scholarships and Fee waivers.
