The Study Advice service provides prospective students with information about the University of Padova: academic calendar, admission requirements, educational offer, how to apply etc.
The staff organises meetings and seminars for students in their final two years of secondary school. Advisors are also on hand to offer both group and one-to-one sessions so that students and their families are better equipped to choose the right course.

The tutoring service supports students throughout their University career. Tutors help students to manage their study time and to deal with any organisational difficulties, such as completing study plans. They also help them to plan for examinations.
The tutors are students enrolled in single or second cycle degrees, doctoral degrees or specialisation degrees, and they receive special training so that they can perform their role effectively. Every year, the university announces a competition that takes account of university merit, abilities and aptitudes, evaluated by way of a selection interview. The announcements are published generally in the month of June, with the selection procedure taking place in July. Applications are posted on Uniweb (select "Initiatives").
Winners are eligible for a systematic training regime, both on commencing and during their learning activity, given through periodic monitoring and assessment meetings.

To develop co-ordinated library services, the University of Padova has set up a Library Centre, to oversee and promote the facilities and services offered by the several University of Padova libraries in the city. The Library Centre also focuses on the development of advanced services, such as:
Until June 2013 some libraries are extending their opening times, allowing students to use libraries’ information resources also in the evenings and during weekends.

Access is generally allowed to everyone. External users (i.e. users not related to the University of Padova in any way) must buy a card which provides access to the library services.
Erasmus and other exchange students enjoy the same rights as Italian students. Each library may establish an "ad hoc" procedure in order to ensure that books are brought back safely (e.g. deposit, letter from the person responsible for the mobility exchange, and so on).
