MSCA Innovative Training Networks
Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Networks (ITN) support European educational research networks which train PhD students and postdocs. The network grants aim to improve early-stage researchers' career opportunities in the public as well as in the private sector, by offering them the chance to complement their academic training, develop their skills in entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation and gaining international and cooperative research experience.
There are three different types of network grants:
- European Training Networks (ETN): joint research training, implemented by at least three partners form in and outside academia.
- European Industrial Doctorate (EID): joint doctoral training delivered by at least one academic partner and at least one partner from outside academia, typically an enterprise.
- European Joint Doctorates (EJD): joint, double or multiple doctoral training delivered by a network of three academic organizations.
The University of Padova welcomes doctoral students and postdoc researchers from all over the world and strives to make their academic experience the most profitable and fruitful for them. Our International Research Office, together with Welcome Office and SAOS Office, is committed to support incoming international fellows, providing them all necessary information to come to Padova and enjoy their stay (including all practicalities to move to Europe, i.e., visa, mobility issues, health insurance).
At present, the University of Padova is involved as coordinator or partner in 11 European Training Networks that offer innovative training possibilities in a wide range of disciplines, from medicine to engineering, from social sciences to chemistry.
Future opportunities to participate in ITN projects will be advertised on Euraxess and through our website and projects’ websites.
