There are a variety of areas that students can choose for specialization within the Master in Civil Engineering program, such as geotechnical (e.g., foundations, underground constructions and tunnels, retaining structures, landslide stabilization), hydraulic and water resources (e.g., water supply, irrigation, sewage systems, flood protection, dams and hydroelectric-power), transportation (e.g., planning, design, maintenance, and operation of transportation facilities supporting highway, railroad and air transportation) structural and architectural engineering (e.g., design and maintenance of buildings, towers, stadia and bridges, urban planning).

Occupational Opportunities
Graduates from the program will find employment as engineers in the private sector (e.g. engineering consultancy, engineering design, project management, national or international civil engineering contractors), in the public sector (e.g. local government, higher education sector), and in the non-governmental sector (e.g., environmental advocacies, private voluntary organizations), or may wish to pursue further qualifications (e.g., PhD, Master in Business Administration) to become even more specialized.
