Brief overview of the course

Characteristics and objectives
The second cycle degree aims to prepare a highly qualified professional figure specializing in designing, innovating and management of highly complex business and production systems. The developed skills enable master management engineers to understand and govern the technical-productive, human-organizational and economic-financial interconnections that characterize complex and innovative processes. Master's graduates are engineers who know the technologies, have high system modelling capability, a strong aptitude towards project and innovation management, backed by a robust set of analytical-quantitative supporting tools.
The education of a master graduate is based on a multidisciplinary approach focused on different areas: engineering, economics, management, and quantitative methodologies.
The Course Manifesto has been completely redesigned with the twofold aim of allowing students to focus their training on the courses characterizing the professional figure of the management engineer, and of offering them the flexibility to tailor their training to their working needs and expectations. Students can choose among five specializations, specifically designed to offer professional and distinctive career paths and skills:
- Operations and Supply Chain Management
- Advanced and Value Added Manufacturing
- Strategy and Business Management
- Energy and Environmental Management
- Business and Market Innovation
The course also includes a company internship with participation in a project, which ends with an elaborate that demonstrates full mastery of the topics and the ability to operate autonomously and in an original way.

Occupational opportunities
Master's graduates have extensive and qualified employment opportunities in the various business functions (production, logistics, purchasing and procurement, selling and marketing, research, development and design of new products and processes, management control, administration and economic and financial analysis, organization and human resources, etc.) and in the various sectors (industrial companies, services, consulting and engineering companies, banks, insurance, etc.). They can find employment both in national and international companies and public organizations.
The master's degree also provides an adequate preparation for access to master or doctoral programs in related disciplines at national and international level.
