Characteristics and objectives

The course provides skills and forms competencies that ensure a complete overview of the activities and issues related to the production, processing and storage of foodstuffs In particular, it is proposed to provide a solid basic preparation that will enable the acquisition of knowledge of the sector, leading to the acquisition of skills in order to be able to intervene in the fields of production, transformation, safety, quality and hygiene of food , to reduce waste and environmental impact. The course also provides basic knowledge of economics and management of agribusiness and markets, together with regulatory aspects, by integrating economic and ethical knowledge.

Occupational opportunities
Graduates will be able to operate in the field of management and control in the production, storage, transformation, distribution and delivery of food and beverages, with the aim of improving the quality and commercial aspects of foodstuffs by ensuring sustainability and eco-compatibility of the various activities involved. He can work in companies involved in the production, processing, storage and distribution of foodstuffs and in the institutions dealing with analysis, control, certification and investigation for the protection of food production. He can also work in companies that supply materials, plants, processing aids, ingredients, and semi-finished products for food production. The graduate can hold the examination of qualification for the pursuit of the profession of Doctor of Agronomy and Forestry Doctor junior, graduate agricultural graduate and graduate agrotechnician.
