ECDL - European Computer Driving Licence

 

The University of Padova hosts two official test centers where the ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) Core Level, a widespread certification that tests practical skills and competencies covering computer theory and practice, can be achieved. The test consists of seven stand-alone modules:

  • Concepts of information and Communication technology (ICT)
  • Using the computer and managing files
  • Word processing
  • Spreadsheets
  • Using Databases
  • Presentation
  • Web Browsing and Communication

To achieve the certification, candidates must buy a skills card (a document where the modules successfully passed are recorded), and pay a fee when applying for each module. Students and Staff at the University of Padova are granted special discounts.
